Cloverleaf All-Star players perform

On Tuesday, Cloverleaf students participated in the Medina County Middle and High School All-Star Bands. The high school students had the honor of performing under Ohio composer David Schaffer.

Schaffer also directed the premiere of his piece, “Octane,” which was commissioned to honor and celebrate Cloverleaf band director Gerry Carasea’s 39 years of teaching. Carasea was on hand to hear the premiere.

The middle school students were led by Copley band director Vicki Smith.

This year’s participating students were Mark Andrews, Dan Chudzinski, Hailey Coffman, Nicole Cooke, Tessa Coudriet, Craig Cox Jr., Elizabeth Crosby, Liz Ditch, Allison Ditch, Kara Ditch, Jake Elliot, Savanna-Rae Fahoum, Sami Fahoum, Duncan Hitti, Kierstin Jenkins, Alex Kacinari, Mary Lenk, Claudia Lorenz, Kay Lynch, Myan Newman, Kendra Nichols, Frank Roberts, Kyle Schreiber, Michaela Schroeder, Kaitlyn Stankiewicz, Ben Stefanko and Zachary Witmer.
