COLUMBUS — A Gazette assistant sports editor and former staffer are finalists in the Associated Press Society of Ohio’s 2010 newspaper competition.
Rick Noland’s story titled, “Wanna Play? Gotta Pay,” is a finalist in the best sports enterprise category.
A story by former staff writer Kaitlin Bushinski, “Seeking to Share Budget Pain,” is a finalist in the best explanatory reporting category.
The Associated Press is a not-for-profit news cooperative representing 1,500 newspapers and 5,000 broadcast stations in the United States. Members of AP include 88 daily newspapers in Ohio.
