Medina Crime Waves for April 20, 2011

Medina police

Friday, April 15
2:29 p.m. — 500 block Birch Hill Drive, a woman reported her purse was stolen from her friend’s apartment.
Saturday, April 16
12:10 a.m. — 500 block of W. Friendship St., Michael Hixson, 19, was charged with operating a vehicle after underage consumption, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was pulled over for not having a license plate light.
4:21 p.m. — 1000 block N. Court St., police were called about two men reportedly smoking marijuana. The men said they were smoking damiana and were not charged.
10:08 p.m. — 1200 block Freeport Drive, a resident reported eggs were thrown at the garage and canned goods were left in the driveway.
Sunday, April 17
10:20 a.m. — Kmart, 1105 N. Court St., Jamie Butler, 34, of 980 Guilford Blvd., was charged with theft for allegedly stealing a wallet worth $12.99.
5 p.m. — 500 block Birch Hill Drive, DVDs, CDs and Xanax pills were reported stolen from an apartment.
11:58 p.m. — Joshua Wiseman, 20, of 1040 Oak St., was charged with driving under suspension, obstructing official business, and fleeing and eluding after he allegedly ran away from police on foot after they attempted to stop his vehicle for not having a front plate and only one brake light.

Medina Township police

Monday, March 28
9:40 p.m. — 2900 block Hood Road, a garage door was kicked in and jewelry, a DVD player, GPS unit and computer were stolen from a residence.

Montville Township police

Monday, April 4
12:12 a.m. — River Styx and Octogan roads, Jason Kuzma, 23, of Parma, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he reportedly was found with the drug and a pipe during a traffic stop.
3:24 p.m. — 4000 E. Normandy Park Drive, a man reported three unauthorized charges were made on his business account.
Tuesday, April 12
4:09 p.m. — 4100 block Fairway Drive, a car was broken into and a GPS unit was stolen.
4:40 p.m. — 4000 block Fox Meadows Drive, a GPS unit and wallet were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
