Driver sought in Cleveland McDonald’s parking-lot mishap
CLEVELAND — Police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman suspected of backing her car over people gathered outside a Cleveland McDonald’s restaurant during a job fair.
Police spokesman Sgt. Sammy Morris said today that 22-year-old Stacey Mathews of Cleveland is wanted on a felony assault warrant.
The incident occurred Tuesday during McDonald’s first National Hiring Day as the company tried to hire 50,000 workers in one day.
Witnesses said several women argued in the parking lot and one tried to drive away but was blocked. Graphic amateur video then shows the car backing into the crowd, injuring four people.
WEWS-TV says none of the injuries appeared serious.
