Medina Crime Waves for April 27, 2011


Monday, April 18
8:19 p.m. — 300 block W. Union St., a Hello Kitty bicycle worth $80 was stolen from a doorstep.
11:45 p.m. — James Foote, 32, homeless, was charged with resisting arrest and assault after he allegedly punched a woman in the face and then resisted officers as they tried to arrest him.
Tuesday, April 19
6:29 p.m. — 800 block Baxter St., Edward French, 22, of Elyria, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. He was stopped for having no taillights on his trailer.
Wednesday, April 20
9:30 a.m. — 1100 block N. Court St., two tires were slashed on the passenger side of a vehicle.
9:43 a.m. — 500 block Wadsworth Road, a 2011 Kia was stolen and later found to have been taken by the owner’s 15-year-old son without permission. The car was crashed with damage to the front end when returned.

Sunday, April 10
1:22 a.m. — 3200 block Medina Road, Jonathan Walter, 26, of 311 W. Liberty St., was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with the drug and a glass pipe during a traffic stop.
Friday, April 22
8:51 a.m. — 3900 block Turnberry Drive, a fire hydrant and sign were spray-painted.
Saturday, April 23
3:36 a.m. — 5600 block River Styx Road, Trevor Spees, 19, of North Ridgeville, and Justin McCarroll, 20, of Tipp City, Ohio, were charged with underage consumption.
