MEDINA — The filing deadline for the special election in August was Wednesday, just a day after Tuesday’s elections, and two school issues will be on the ballot.
Black River Schools is going back to voters on Aug. 2 with the same 7.5-mill levy for operating expenses voters defeated Tuesday by 1,237 votes to 782, according to unofficial results from area boards of elections.
The district encompasses three counties: Medina, Ashland and Lorain.
Wadsworth Schools also will be on the August ballot with a 5.9-mill levy for operating expenses.
The Wadsworth request is for a continuous period of time. The Black River levy is for five years.
