Firefighters extinguish a junk pile fire Thursday afternoon behind Vet-O-Vitz Pavers & Retaining Walls, 2786 Center Road, Brunswick. Fire Chief Jim Baird said someone called 911 around 1 p.m. after seeing smoke in the area. The fire was contained to the junk pile, which contained scrap wood and bricks.
