2 hurt in Montville Twp. motorcycle accident
MONTVILLE TWP. — Two Medina residents are recovering following a Saturday motorcycle accident, police said.
Mike Brock, 39, was driving a Yamaha motorcycle north on state Route 57 near Chestnut Hill Drive around 5:20 p.m. when he and his passenger, Virginia Brock, 36, traveled left of center, according to a police report.
They collided with a southbound Dodge truck that was towing a horse trailer, the report said.
Police Chief Thomas Acklin said the motorcycle side-swiped the trailer, severely injuring the motorcyclists.
Mike Brock was flown to Akron General Hospital and was listed in fair condition Wednesday, a hospital spokesman said.
A family member said Wednesday Virginia Brock was hospitalized at Akron City Hospital and has since been released.
None of the occupants in the trailer were injured, according to the police report.
The driver of the truck, Christy Duvall, 33, of Atwater, saw the motorcycle come into her lane and drifted as far to the right as possible to avoid it, according to the report.
