Ohio veterans who earned medals in combat but never received them or whose medals were lost or destroyed received overdue and replacement medals during a ceremony Saturday afternoon before the Northeast Ohio Conference cross-division Charity Game at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Avon, presented medals to 12 Northeast Ohio veterans or their families, including two from Medina, for distinctions earned during World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Ohio veterans and family members of deceased veterans may request military records and medals by contacting Brown’s Cleveland office at (216) 522-7272 or by visiting the “Constituent Services” section of Brown’s website at brown.senate.gov.
