Medina County Court Log for Jan. 13

The following people appeared in common pleas court Thursday, according to Medina County Prosecutor Dean Holman:

• Timothy Booth, 23, of Bush Avenue, Cleveland, was sentenced to three years of community control sanctions, with 90 days of house arrest, on two counts of trafficking in marijuana, fifth-degree felonies. He was ordered to pay $175 in restitution and his driver’s license was suspended for six months.

• Anthony Kortan, 45, of West Virginia, was sentenced to three years of community control sanctions on one count of theft and one count of forgery, fifth-degree felonies. He was ordered to pay $664 restitution to the victim.

• Phillip Bayless, 43, of Briarwood Boulevard in Chippewa Lake, pleaded not guilty to one count of illegal conveyance of weapons or prohibited items onto grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 12.

• Wesley Flynn, 18, of Theota Avenue in Parma, pleaded not guilty to one count of receiving stolen property (motor vehicle), a fourth-degree felony; one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 7.

• Daryn Kilgore, 30, of West Main Street in Seville, pleaded not guilty to one count of burglary and one count of theft of a firearm, third-degree felonies. Each charge carries a firearm specification. A jury trial is scheduled for March 5.
