Medina County Court Log for Jan. 31

The following people appeared in common pleas court Monday, according to Medina County Prosecutor Dean Holman:

• Thomas Ady, 35, of Cherokee Lane, Creston, was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions, with seven days in jail, on one count of illegal processing of drug documents, a fourth-degree felony.
• Quay Barber, 45, of Birch Hill Drive, Medina, was sentenced to two years in prison on one count of burglary, a second-degree felony, and one count of theft of a dangerous drug, a fourth-degree felony.
• Dale Chait, 41, of Chatham Road, Medina, was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions, with 180 days in jail, on two counts of theft, fifth-degree felonies. He also was ordered to pay $27,000 to the victims and not to perform work in the home improvement or construction industries without the court’s approval.
• David Balyint, 26, of Township Road 580, West Salem, pleaded not guilty to three counts of trafficking in heroin, one of which is a fourth-degree felony and two of which are fifth-degree felonies. A jury trial is scheduled for April 16.
• David Cochran, 43, of Cherokee Lane, Creston, pleaded not guilty to one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for May 7.
• Fredric H. Frazier Jr., 50, of Prospect Street, Medina, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison on five counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, second-degree felonies. He also was labeled a Tier II sex offender.
• Jeremy Gollihue, 25, of Broad Street, Wadsworth, pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft of a firearm, third-degree felonies. Both charges carry a firearm specification. A jury trial is scheduled for April 16.
• Deonte Harris, 24, of Lorain Road, Fairview Park, pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft of credit cards, fifth-degree felonies, and three counts of theft, misdemeanors. A jury trial is scheduled for April 16.
• Karli Letzelter, 23, of Fairview Avenue, Wadsworth, pleaded no contest to one count of deception to obtain a dangerous drug, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for March 12.
• Danielle Powell-Balyint, 26, of Avon Lake Road, Spencer, pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in heroin, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of complicity to commit trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for April 16.
• Robert Russell, 48, of Congress Road, Homer Township, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous ordnance, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for May 7.
