Cloverleaf Academic Challenge Team wins challenge

On March 23, the Cloverleaf Academic Challenge Team won the Medina County Academic Challenge League Tournament by sweeping to a perfect 7-0 record.

In round 1, Cloverleaf defeated Medina 55 to 26; round 2 — Cloverleaf, 53, Columbia, 17; round 3 — Cloverleaf, 53, Buckeye, 32; round 4 — Cloverleaf, 43, Revere, 13; round 5 — Cloverleaf, 46, Highland, 28; round 6 — Cloverleaf, 51, Brunswick, 38; round 7 — Cloverleaf, 43, Wadsworth, 30.

Scoring was led by senior captain Luke Plazek with 54 points. The Colts have accomplished what no other team in school history has done — win three league titles in a single season, which includes the MCACL regular season title and tournament, and the Summit County Academic Challenge League fall season title.
