Brunswick Crime Waves for April 26


Tuesday, April 17
3:29 a.m. — Whiskey Run Saloon, 1149 Pearl Road, part of a telephone pole reportedly was used to break into the building through a window. Police found the business’ cash box nearby in the woods with the drawer missing but the cash still in the bottom of the box.
6:39 p.m. — 3300 block Marpat Lane, a man allegedly was intoxicated and was making advancements toward his neighbor at her house. Jose Lopez, 38, of 3390 Marpat Lane, was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
Wednesday, April 18
12:10 a.m. — Giant Eagle, 3440 Center Road, a woman reportedly left without paying for $276.35 worth of groceries. Michaelene Hitterman, 45, of Brooklyn, was charged with theft.
6 a.m. — 4100 block Keller Hanna Drive, four aluminum truck rims reported stolen from a yard.
7:50 a.m. — 400 block Plymouth Court, about $14 in cash reported stolen from two unlocked vehicles.
Thursday, April 19
8:30 a.m. — 4200 block Beverly Hills Drive, a catalytic converter reported stolen.
8:45 a.m. — 4000 block Skyview Drive, a catalytic converter reported stolen.
9 a.m. —3500 block Abington Court, a resident reported someone went through a vehicle parked in the driveway.
Noon — North Carpenter Road, a motorcycle trailer reported stolen.
3:38 p.m. — 1400 block Troon Ave., a fence reportedly was damaged and two people were seen fleeing the area.
4:12 p.m. — Giant Eagle, 3440 Center Road, a woman reportedly tried to conceal several items in her purse and leave the store. Erin Blake, 26, of 643 Falling Oaks Drive, Medina, was charged with theft.
Friday, April 20
9:54 a.m. — Brunswick High School, 3581 Center Road, a man reported his neighbor approached him yelling obscenities and grabbed his cell phone from him because he was using it to record her actions. Virginia Thurley, 48, of 1685 Clemson Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct.
Saturday, April 21
2:04 a.m. — Center and Hadcock roads, a driver reportedly was intoxicated and left the scene of an accident. Kimberly Yates, 23, of Strongsville, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired, hit-skip and failure to maintain assured clear distance.
8:31 p.m. — 200 block Judita Drive, marijuana reportedly was found in a vehicle. Steven Wolfe, 21, of Parma Heights, and Brandon Kovalchek, 20, of Parma, were charged with drug abuse.
10:40 p.m. — 800 block W. 130th St., a driver reportedly was pulled over for weaving. Her blood-alcohol level reportedly was 0.148 percent. Ohio’s legal limit is 0.08 percent. Her children, ages 9 and 11, were passengers in the vehicle. Cheri Krawczonek, 42, of 3709 Pheasants Walk, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and endangering children.
Sunday, April 22
3:13 p.m. — Giant Eagle, 3440 Center Road, a woman reportedly tried to steal meat by putting it in her purse. Melissa Deno, 28, of Berea, was charged with theft.
Monday, April 23
4:39 p.m. — Skate Station, 1261 Industrial Pkwy., an iPod Touch and $10 reported stolen from a 12-year-old’s purse.
Tuesday, April 24
7:01 p.m. — Applewood Drive and Huntington Circle, a backpack reported found.
Wednesday, April 25
12:12 a.m. — Christie’s Cabaret, 1246 Pearl Road, four people reportedly fled on foot after an altercation with employees. Derek Engist, 24, of 1759 Stone Ridge Drive, Hinckley Township; Paul Ucman II, 47, of Elizabeth, Pa.; Scott Walkuski, 25, of 6285 Boneta Road, Sharon Township; and Kristin Roberts, 31, of Brecksville, were cited for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Thursday, April 19
7:20 a.m. — 5200 block Grafton Road, a catalytic converter reported stolen.
Sunday, April 22
11:57 p.m. — Pearl Road, a man reportedly ran from a police officer who was trying to arrest him on an outstanding warrant. Matthew Dieckman, 37, of Columbia Station, was charged with obstructing official business.
