Over the last two summers, there’s been one thing missing from Jessica Porvasnik’s resume – an appearance in the final round of the Junior PGA Championships.
The Highland senior and Ohio State recruit is looking to change all that today as she takes part in the 37th edition of the junior golf tournament at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Porvasnik, who will be making her third appearance at the Junior PGA Championships when she tees-off at 12:20 p.m., ended last year’s event with her best round on the Northeast Indiana course when she carded a 6-over-par 78.
Despite breaking 80 for the first time at Sycamore Hills, the 17-year-old failed to advance to the final day of the four-day tournament for the second year in a row.
The three-time Gazette MVP earned a return bid to the international event after winning the PGA Junior Series tournament.
