Alta Leroy Smith, 85, of Wadsworth, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012. He was born October 2, 1926, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Emery and Stella Smith.Mr. Smith was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and worked as a meat cutter all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of 64 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Ruth of Wadsworth, Dennis and Cecilia of Cuyahoga Falls. There are eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 20, 2012, from 5 until 7 P.M., at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, followed by a 7 P.M. Memorial Service with Deacon Roger Klaas officiating.
