Medina County Court Log for Aug. 25

The following people appeared in Common Pleas court Thursday, according to Medina County Prosecutor Dean Holman:

Michael Jones, 42, Blake Avenue NW, Canton, was sentenced to one year in prison on one count of receiving stolen property (check), and two counts of passing bad checks, fifth-degree felonies.

Joshua Leborgne, 39, Southeast Avenue, Tallmadge, was sentenced to three years of community control sanctions on one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. His driver’s license was suspended for six months.

David Simonski, 40, West Liberty Street, Medina, was sentenced to 90 days in jail on one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.

Melissa Allen, 44, Bennington Boulevard, Brunswick, pleaded not guilty to one count of theft, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 23.

Richard Bloom, 27, Raber Road, Uniontown, pleaded not guilty to one count of theft of a firearm, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 22.

Lucas Fine, 25, Locust Street, Coshocton, pleaded no contest to one count of receiving stolen property (motor vehicle), a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 27.

Jason Jendl, 33, Cardwell Avenue, Garfield Heights, pleaded no contest to one count of theft, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 27.

Gerald Kruger, 46, Main Street, Wadsworth, pleaded not guilty to one count of abduction, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 22.

Charles Paine, 20, Pine Lake Drive, Medina, pleaded not guilty to two counts of trafficking in heroin, fourth-degree felonies. Both charges carry a forfeiture specification. A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 23.

Michael Pavelko, 22, Remsen Road, Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 22.

Lisa Taylor, 46, Madison Avenue, Cleveland, pleaded not guilty to one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 24.

The following people appeared in court Monday:

Shane Brinker, 30, West Salem Road, Burbank, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine and one count of possession of drugs, fifth-degree felonies. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 11.

Matthew Dieckman, 37, West River Road, Columbia Station, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 83 days in jail on one count of breaking and entering and one count of receiving stolen property, fifth-degree felonies.

Jason Hamilton, 33, West 86th Street, Cleveland, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months in jail on two counts of forgery, fifth-degree felonies.

Tressie Hickey, 19, County Road 700, Polk, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 15.

Trent Spears, 48, East North Street, Medina, pleaded not guilty to one count of theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Nov. 14.
