Nancy Marie Lloyd

Nancy Marie Lloyd, 73, of Chippewa Lake, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 following an extended illness. She was born June 18, 1939 in Millersburg to the late Elwood Salzman and Anna L. (Miller) Fishburn.

She was a 1957 graduate of Shreve High School and had lived in Shreve most of her life until making her home in Chippewa Lake with her husband Roland Lloyd in 1988.

She dedicated her life to volunteerism and participation in her community. Among her many activities she was involved in leadership in her Shreve School class of 1957, was a faithful crossing guard for Shreve Elementary School, served as an EMT with Shreve Emergency Squad, was a member of Shreve American Legion Auxiliary, Chippewa Lake Lions Club and Chippewa Lake Fire Dept. and was a 30 plus-year volunteer for Triway Schools having coordinating ushers for the Wayne County Fair.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Roland Lloyd of Chippewa Lake; her sons, Shawn (Loretta) Murphy of Fresno, Ohio and Shannon (Nicole) Murphy of Wadsworth; step-children, Tammy (Brian) Starkey and Tina (Randy) Jarvis, both of Creston and Todd (Julie) Lloyd of Alpharetta, Georgia; grandchildren, Kayla, Valerie, Quinn, Abby, Joshua, Tommy, Dustin, Kolt and Ethan; her brother Michael Fishburn of Long Island, New York; sister, Cynthia Schneider of Wooster; step-mother, Ruby Salzman of Wooster and a step-sister, Janet Cartwright of Wooster.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elwood Salzman; her mother and step-father, Anna and Fletcher Fishburn and a step-sister Patsy Tate.

Service will be Monday, October 1, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 2 to 5 P.M. in the funeral home.
