Sixteen Medina County teenagers were selected as October’s students of the month.
At the top of the list are Nicole Hadler of Highland High School and Trevar Dahl of Cloverleaf High School.
Hadler plans to pursue a career in medicine, and Dahl plans to serve a two-year mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Both students are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities.
Other students chosen are: Joseph Simonis, Highland High School; Amanda Barry, Cloverleaf High School; Tara Daly and Alexander Muir, Brunswick High School; Allison Snyder and Patrick Beal, Medina High School; Anessa Rogers and Robert Auber, Buckeye High School; Kaitlin Kennedy and Mitchell Mayhugh, Black River High School; Rebecca Whitney and Benjamin Hanna, Wadsworth High School; and Emily Chester and Chrysovalantes Stogioglou, Medina County Career Center.
Applications were forwarded to county Auditor Michael E. Kovack, who convened a panel of students who selected the winners. They were judged on their leadership, performance in school, community service, employment, extracurricular participation and awards.
