Police: Woman rams ex husband’s garage

MONTVILLE TWP. — Jeananne Trout told police she could explain why she slammed her pickup into her ex-husband’s garage.

“There’s a saying: ‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,’ ” she said.

Trout, 37, of San Antonio, was arrested Monday night, charged with one count of burglary, a second-degree felony.

Montville Police Chief Terry Grice said Trout broke into the apartment garage of Brian Trout, 38, of 5019 Green Ash Trail, late Monday afternoon.

After finding her ex-husband wasn’t home, she drove her truck into the back garage wall, knocking it off the foundation by about 8 inches, Grice said.

Grice said she left, but returned and drove her pickup into the side of the garage.

Apartment employees who came to investigate what happened called police about 5:30 p.m.

Trout was waiting when the officers arrived.

“It was weird,” Grice said. “She was very cooperative and admitted to doing wrong.”

No exact damage estimate was available, but Grice said it would run into the thousands of dollars.

Grice said that Trout’s ex-husband wasn’t just away from the apartment for the evening when Trout arrived.

“She was here to meet with her ex-husband who, unbeknownst to her, was in Texas,” Grice said.

Trout was taken to the Medina County Jail, where she was being held Tuesday on $60,000 bond.
