GUILFORD TWP. — A Medina woman was flown to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash early Thursday at River Styx and Blake roads.

Deborah Elson-Roth, of Medina, was traveling east in a 2008 Nissan Rogue on Blake Road when she failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck heading south on River Styx Road, according to a dispatcher from the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Medina post. The truck overturned as a result of the crash.

Roth was transported by emergency helicopter to Akron City Hospital, the dispatcher said. A hospital spokeswoman said this morning Roth was not a patient at the facility.

The driver of the truck, Kenneth Mills, of Wadsworth, was taken Thursday to Medina Hospital as a precaution.

The crash occurred at 12:20 a.m. Thursday and is under investigation.

Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.
