Brunswick police look for suspect in robbery of BP station

BRUNSWICK — City police are searching for a robbery suspect who stole cash and cigarettes from BP gas station, 3119 Center Road.

Nick Solar, public information officer for the Brunswick Police Department, said the man entered the BP store at 8:35 p.m. Saturday and asked a clerk for a pack of Newport 100 cigarettes. He fled the scene on foot with a pack of cigarettes and up to $80 in cash.

No weapon was brandished during the robbery, Solar said. There were no injuries to the store clerk.

Police are looking for a white male in his early-to-mid-20s, 5-feet-7 inches to 5-feet-8 inches tall and between 140 and150 pounds. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a dark buttoned up shirt and black sneakers.

Solar said the suspect has tattoos on the top of both of his hands. He is linked to recent robberies at Discount Cigarette Mart in Parma and a Mini Mart Express in Cleveland.
