There had been a point in time when Deven had told me and his sister that kids did pick on him and that he didn’t have any friends. Sadly I don’t know what was going through his head Mondaynight/Tuesday morning, I am open to believe that there was multiple reasons of why this happened.

I too am a family member and you can’t tell me that bullying didn’t factor into this poor childs death. This is absolutely heartbreaking and totally senseless. The schools avoid this subject at all costs because they are so afraid of backlash. They talk a good talk to the media and put up this false face like they care so much about bullying. What on earth is wrong with the kids in this country? They KNOW what it feels like to be bullied and yet they will turn around and do it to someone else! Just as long as it’s not being done to them. Every last one of those kids that had something to say to Deven that was in any way negative or nasty should feel partially responsible for his death. This has absolutely got to stop. We are absolutely heartbroken over this.

I’m Aliyah… One of Devens friends. When I heard this happen I broke down crying. It’s hard to think about a person like deven taking his life. People were mean to him, I couldn’t ever be mean to Deven, He was such a nice person. You can’t be mean to a person thats very nice, wise and brave. Deven was loved by many. He thought no one liked him, but everyone did. I swear I can’t believe he did this. The day before he took his life he was very happy, Then that night made deven think “no one likes me. So if i took my life. No one woulkd care.” But Deven everyone cares, and still do. LOVE YOU DEVEN
