James Reinhardt

James Reinhardt, 75, of Homerville, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Lodi Community Hospital. He was born November 13, 1937 in West Salem, the son of Frederick S. and Margaret B. Howman Reinhardt.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had worked for O.D.O.T. Jim was a very active member of the Homerville Ruritans, and the Homerville United Methodist Church. He was a very caring person.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Marburger Reinhardt, to whom he married September 30, 1997; son, Aaron (Julie) Reinhardt of Homerville; step children, Mark Schmidt of Asheville, North Carolina, Paul (Danielle) Schmidt of Cumming, Georgia, John (Linda), Schmidt of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Joy (Glenn) Schrader of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Beth (John) Pratt of Athens, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jan Reinhardt of Wellington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth Reinhardt; half brother, Nelson Reinhardt; and half sister, Adelyle Van Buskirk.

Service will be 11 A.M., Monday, November 26, 2012 at Homerville United Methodist Church with Pastor Cheryl Roshon and Pastor Pat Edington officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 5 to 9 P.M. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem.
