N. Ridgeville man hospitalized after crash

LIVERPOOL TWP. — A North Ridgeville man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle rollover crash this morning on Grafton and Erhart roads.

Dustin Siska, 24, was traveling west in a 1998 Ford Ranger on Grafton Road when he veered off the right side of the road, overcorrected and went off the left side striking a utility pole at 7:26 a.m. today, according to Trooper Harley Steppenbacker, of the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Elyria post.

“It looks like the truck hit the pole sideways, spun around and came to rest upright,” the trooper said.

Siska was transported to Medina Hospital with minor injuries. He should be released this afternoon. Steppenbacker said. Siska was conscious and had cuts on his forehead.

There were no other occupants in the pickup truck, Steppenbacker said. Siksa was wearing a seatbelt.

  • Uninterviewed witness

I witnessed this accident, actually helped direct traffic around down pole and called 911. He was not going down Grafton road, was on Earhart road. He went off right side of road, or north side, and his truck flipped over at least 2 times. No one was interviewed by authorities and I left when ambulance arrived. Also I was very surprised how no one really stopped and several cars actually sped under down lines, very unsafe.

Then how about you call the Highway Patrol and let them know you’re a witness?
