Larry Edward Duyzer, 65, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully and surrounded with love Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Stein Hospice care in Sandusky. A long time resident of Brunswick. He was the son of the late Peter and Virginia (nee Rainey) Duyzer.
He is survived and missed by his fiancee, Cathy M. Rieth of 16 years lovingly by his side; he will be missed by his daughters, Lisa Benton of Michigan and Myra Takerian of Arizona; his grandchildren, Robbie, Monica, Jonathan, Jessica and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Marissa and Brayden; his sister, Thelma Hill of Arizona; he is the uncle of Richard, Gina, Steven and the late Dawnita Henderson, Julie Ohlinger-Roden, Theresa West, Lori Howard Gary Mullins; and a great uncle of many.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Duyzer of Brunswick; Dorothy (Dottie) Henderson of Cleveland.
Larry served as a U.S. Marine in the Vietnam War. He had a great love for nature, farms, camping at Willow Lake Park , fishing at Spencer Lake and Hinkley Lake, Motown Music and baseball. His special talents were building computers, restoring and fabricating semi trucks, and DJ-ing with Cathy. He often talked about his life long friends, he truly had a great time with you all and appreciated you coming around.

A memorial will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Cereno Funeral Home, 13115 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon, followed by a luncheon at Brothers Lounge, 11609 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, at 1 P.M.
