Cloverleaf girls lose second basketball game

ASHLAND — The Cloverleaf girls basketball team fell 65-48 to Ashland on Thursday in non-league action.

The Colts (0-2) were outscored 19-7 in the third quarter, as Mar-iah Mans-perger (21 points) and Alexis Stoops (15) led the Arrows to their third straight victory.

Center Bri Burgos paced Cloverleaf with 12 points and five rebounds. Guard Lexi Civittolo added 11 points, while forward Brittany Piper had six points and a team-high three assists.

Led by Lexxie Fowler’s 11 points, the Colts’ junior varsity won 43-41.
