Blue Devils fall in OT

GROVE CITY — A gutsy fourth-quarter rally didn’t carry over into overtime Friday as Brunswick’s boys basketball team fell to Columbus Westland 61-57 in the semifinals of the Grove City Tip-Off Tournament.

The Blue Devils (0-1) trailed 42-35 after three quarters before forcing OT.

Junior point guard Ryan Badowski had 24 points for Brunswick, while senior center Taylor Armagost added nine.

The Cougars (1-0) were
4-17 last season but received 37 combined points Friday from transfers Kersey Long (Columbus West, game-high 25 points), KyJuan Grace (Central Crossing, 8) and Devan Williamson (Central Crossing, 4).
