WADSWORTH — A Wadsworth couple was awakened by a barking dog early Saturday morning and found a stranger stirring in the house.
Andrew P. Holleran, 44, of 486 Cobblestone Court, told police he mistook the home on Rockglen Drive for his own, which was two blocks away, after being dropped off by a friend.
“The suspect told officers he got mixed up and went into the wrong house,” police Lt. Rob Wyrick said.
Wyrick said Holleran, who appeared to be intoxicated, entered the home through an unlocked front door.
A barking dog woke up the home’s owners, Andrew and Kathy Talabac, who immediately called police.
Wyrick said Andrew Talabac restrained Holleran for two to three minutes until officers arrived.
No one was injured.
Wyrick said officers went to Holleran’s home and found “some similarities” between the two houses but concluded charges were warranted.
Holleran was charged with burglary and taken to the Medina County Jail. He was released on $10,000 (10 percent) bond Monday afternoon.
