Green defeats Hornets
GREEN — The learning process continues for Highland’s boys basketball team.
The Hornets trailed by four points heading into the fourth quarter Friday at Green, but came up well short in a 68-55 Suburban League loss.
Highland (1-2, 0-1), which hit eight 3-pointers, was led by 11 points apiece from posts Brennan Scott and Austin Adams. Backup guard Austin Casenhiser added a career-high 10, while Brogan Scott tallied nine.
Dan Fannelly (20 points) and Eddie Janini (18) combined for 38 points for the Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0), who led just 44-40 after three quarters but outscored the Hornets 24-15 in the final period.
