Austin Lubinski, Zak Diaz give Bucks lift in bowling
WELLINGTON — Austin Lubinski and Zak Diaz were on fire Monday, lifting the Buckeye boys bowling team to a 2,212-1,969 North Shore Conference victory over Firelands.
Lubinski had a 448 series (225-223), while Diaz was right behind with a 433 (247-186).
Buckeye only had three bowlers for the girls match, with Hannah Burley rolling a team-high 306 series (164-142).
The junior varsity boys team won 1,593-1,418 behind a 366 series by Mason Tinney.

Black River
LORAIN — The Elyria boys and girls teams rolled past Black River in NSBC action at Rebman Lanes. The Pioneers boys won 2,171-1,867, while the girls prevailed 1,612-1,379. Black River’s Justin Sword bowled a team-leading 364 series (185-179), while Brett Patterson went 50 pins over his average with a game of 175. Emily Verhovitz rolled a team-leading 320 series (174-146) for the Black River girls. Alexis Lange chipped in a 298 series
(129-169).
