Medina County Court Log for Dec. 11

The following people appeared in Common Pleas Court on Monday, according to Medina County Prosecutor Dean Holman:

• Sammy Abraham, 50, Autumnwood Lane, Brunswick, was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions on two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felonies. He also was ordered to pay $6,800 in restitution.

• Brett Tompkins, 37, Minuet Drive, Clinton, was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions, with 180 days in jail, on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony.

• Ja’Lisa Brown, 21, Gilmore Avenue, Cleveland, pleaded not guilty to one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for March 18.

• Kyle Carter, 22, Hiram, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 22.

• Steven Cortes, 32, Mark Run, Doylestown, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of possession of cocaine, fifth-degree felonies. A jury trial is scheduled for March 13.

• Brandon Elder, 20, Vandemark Road, Litchfield, pleaded not guilty to one count of failure to comply with a police officer, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for
Feb. 4.

• Antonio Hargrove, 25, East 13th Street, Cleveland, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary, a second-degree felony, and one count of violation of a protection order, a third-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 22.

• Justin Knotts, 25, Grafton Road, Elyria, pleaded not guilty to one count of trespass into habitation, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 4.

• John Lennhoff, 45, Liberty Street, Spencer, pleaded not guilty to one count of intimidation, a third-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Jan. 30.

• Phillip Lewis, 23, East 110th Street, Cleveland, pleaded not guilty to one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 4.

• Timothy Riffel, 52, Electric Road, Seville, pleaded not guilty to one count of assault on a peace officer, a fourth-degree felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 6.

•Katherine Smith, 27, Wadsworth Road, Norton, pleaded guilty to two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of theft, fifth-degree felonies. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 22.
