The “Top Dog” award is given out by the Medina County Auditor’s Office and serves as a reminder that dog licensing in Ohio ends Jan. 31. The cost of dog licenses is $12 and proceeds go to the Medina County Dog Shelter.

Other winners and runners up in the contest include:

• Third place: Cody Lines, Walter Kidder Elementary.

• Fourth place: Braelyn Albano, Cloverleaf Elementary.

• Fifth place: Julia Fike, Buckeye Intermediate School.
