TSA agent killed Sunday lived in Medina

Staff and wire reports

CLEVELAND — The Transportation Security Administration officer killed Sunday morning in a murder-suicide was a Medina resident, according to a police report of the incident.

Sgt. Sammy Morris, Cleveland police spokesman, said the report listed 20-year-old Kimberly Alkahder’s address as 999 E. Washington St., Medina. Morris said he did not know low long she had been living there.

Police said Alkahder was fatally shot near the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport by her 28-year-old estranged husband, Ahmad Alkahder, of Strongsville.

Police said he followed Kimberly Alkahder and another TSA employee to an employee parking lot, blocked them in with his vehicle and started shooting.

He also shot at the other TSA agent before turning the gun on himself.
