Wednesday, Dec. 5
9:15 p.m. — 200 block First St., during a routine welfare check on a juvenile, an officer found drug paraphernalia inside a home. Charges are pending.
Friday, Dec. 7
7:40 a.m. — 1300 block State Road, a resident reported a theft of a homemade Christmas lawn decoration.
9:11 a.m. — 625 Broad St., a resident reported the theft of his son’s knapsack during a Wadsworth High School swimming meet.
1:01 p.m. — 100 block Pine St., a resident reported the theft of two ladders from his garage. One was wood and the other aluminum. The total estimated value of the ladders is $100.
11:21 p.m. — 100 block Main St., a resident called police to report the misuse of a credit card in the amount of $250.
Saturday, Dec. 8
9:49 a.m. — 100 block West St., a resident reported an identity fraud case and an accumulated $3,900 in debt.
Sunday, Dec. 9
2:56 p.m. — 400 block Tulip Trail, a resident told police he found drug paraphernalia in his shared garbage can. The case is under investigation.
7:11 p.m. — 222 E. Smokerise Drive, an officer responded to Walmart about two juvenile male shoplifters who attempted to take alcohol. Charges are pending via the Medina County Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
Monday, Dec. 10
10:03 a.m. — 200 block Grandview Ave., an officer met with a resident who said someone smashed the rear window of his car overnight while it was parked in his driveway.
4:36 p.m. — 222 E. Smokerise Drive, a Walmart manager reported a $1,000 theft from the store.
Tuesday, Dec. 11
10:20 a.m. — 300 block Main St., police charged Brittney Boyer, 27, of Akron, with drug use, marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after her purse was turned into police by a city resident.
12:47 p.m. — 1021 High St., an officer responded to National Tire & Battery about a report of stolen tires from the business.

Monday, Dec. 3
5:35 p.m. — 400 block Medina St., officers responded to a residence for a burglary complaint. Several computer games, controller and laptop computer were reported stolen.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
11 a.m. — 500 block LaVista West, an officer arrested Eric Branham, 30, of 664 Oak Court, on the charge of burglary stemming from a Dec. 1 incident.
Friday, Dec. 8
12:50 a.m. — 600 block Highland Drive, a woman reported $515 was stolen when she had acquaintances help her set up a Christmas tree in her home. The money was on the kitchen table, and when people helping her left she said the money was missing. An investigation is ongoing.
Saturday, Dec. 9
5:22 p.m. — 316 Bank St., an officer responded to Dollar General about a $10 counterfeit bill that was passed.
5:33 p.m. — 700 block of Bank St., a resident claimed he was receiving unwanted text messages from his ex-wife, who lives in Arkansas. Police warned the woman to stop texting him.
