MEDINA — County Commissioners Pat Geissman and Adam Friedrick rejected a proposal Monday by the Board of Elections to relocate to 3600 Stonegate Drive, Medina Township.
Commissioner Steve Hambley was on vacation, but all three commissioners voiced concern with the proposal last week, believing the board should continue searching.
The board is housed with the county Health Department, 4210 N. Jefferson St., in Medina Township.
The commissioners said last week that they didn’t support the move because the proposed location was three times the size and would cost three times more than the Jefferson Street building. They weren’t convinced the board needed that much space.
Instead, the board suggested looking for a location that is only twice as large.
