John & Ruth Lahr

John and Ruth (Cook) Lahr of Medina will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. Rev.Lloyd Walker officiated the January 10, 1948 ceremony in Oberlin.

John retired from General Telephone Company after 40 years of service. Ruth is a housewife. They both are members of  Weymouth Community Church. They are the parents of Ruth L. (Viv) Shanafelt of Medina; Janice (Denny) Raypole of Clyde, Ohio, Jeannie (Bob)Forest City, North Carolina and Rita (Doug) Eastwood of Medina; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, plus one due in February and one great great grandchild.
