Eileen was preceded by her mother and father, William (Bill) and Florence Parks; her brother, Alan Parks and her sister, Kathleen (Kay) Jenkins.
Born September 5, 1931, in Ottawa, Canada, Eileen graduated from the Ottawa High School of Commerce at the early age of 16. However, Mom was probably most known and admired as one of the original “IBM Girls” of Ottawa, whose friendships have lasted more than 55 years! This speaks well to the kind of friend my Mom was. Eileen was also a 15+ year member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Laureate Nu Chapter. After her IBM days in Ottawa, she moved to Toms River, New Jersey and began a lengthy career as a legal secretary in the U.S. Court System.
Eileen was a devoted and loving mother. She raised me on her own. She was courageous and committed to being the best she could be, teaching me and applying all the family virtues a son could ever ask for. This is the legacy I am trying to pass on.
