Carol R. Rose, 74, formerly of Spencer, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Burbank Parke Center in Burbank. She was born November 5, 1938 in Wadsworth, to Milton and Hattie Fuller Wolf and was a Spencer High School graduate. She married Jesse (Jug) Rose January 11, 1958.
Carol had been a cook for the Black River School System. She was a member of the Spencer Pythian Sisters Lodge, West Salem OES and Spencer First Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Stacie (Tom) Michalak of Spencer; son, Bryan (Cheryl) Rose of Homerville; grandchildren, Aaron Rose of Homerville, Jarod (friend Aimee) Rose of Aurora, Jessica (Tony) Sciortino of West Salem, Carol (Corey) Mullet of Ashland; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Alice Coe of Ashland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Hayden Coe; husband, Jesse (Jug); brothers, Earl, Edward and Paul Coe; and sister, Evelyn Louise.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11 A.M., at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 202 East Main St., Spencer. Pastor Jeff Mullet will officiate. Burial will follow at Spencer Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the funeral home. Pythian Sister Lodge service will be at 7:45 P.M.
