WADSWORTH — Medina County Drug Task Force agents disposed of a meth lab in the garage of a Bergey Street home in the early hours of Saturday.
Wadsworth Police originally were called to the house, 354 E. Bergey St., at about 4:30 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. After entering the home, officers found a meth lab in the garage, and agents disposed of the chemicals involved, task force Director Gary Hubbard said.
No charges have been filed in connection with the meth lab and the investigation is ongoing, he said.
The task force also made several arrests over the past two weeks for trafficking heroin, according to updates on the agency’s Facebook page.
n At about 10 p.m. Wednesday, Pahris Wallace, 21, of Akron, was charged with trafficking heroin. Wallace is accused of selling heroin to a drug task force agent in the Truckstops of America parking lot on Lake Road in Westfield Township. Wallace is being held in the Medina County Jail.
n On Dec. 19, Michael Tanner, 30, and Rebecca McGeorge, 26, both of Canton, were each charged with trafficking heroin. The couple is accused of selling heroin to a drug task force agent in the Drug Mart parking lot, 1005 High St., Wadsworth. Tanner and McGeorge were released after posting bond.
A third person in the car with Tanner and McGeorge was found to be in possession of heroin, and that person was released pending further investigation.
