Indians: Paul Dolan officially in charge
Paul Dolan is officially in charge of the Indians.
Major League Baseball owners formally approved Dolan, the son of team owner Larry Dolan, as the Indians “control person” Thursday.
Paul Dolan, 53, Cleveland’s team president since 2005, was named chairman and CEO in 2011. He joined the Indians in 2000 as vice president and general counsel after his father purchased the team from Dick Jacobs.
Larry Dolan, 81, has been less involved with the club’s operations in recent years.
“I am honored by the faith Major League Baseball’s owners have placed in me,” Paul Dolan said in a press release. “In Cleveland, we remain committed to winning a World Series championship while also enriching the lives of Greater Clevelanders through our community outreach efforts.”
