Virginia Andrea Martin, 72, of Medina, formerly of Sandusky, passed this week after a long illness.

She was a 1957 graduate of Margaretta High School. She furthered her education, graduating with honors from the Good Samaritan Hospital of Nursing, and her career in medicine spanned for more than 40 years. Her passion was doll collecting and antiques.

Virginia was preceded in death by her son, Douglas; her twin sister, Valerie Martin; and her parents, John W. and Lucille Martin.

She is survived by her brother, John (Mary) Martin of Mansfield; sisters, Jacqueline Martin of Georgetown and Mary Fisk of Chicago; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Honoring her request private services will be held.
