Wednesday, Jan. 2
8:04 p.m. — 222 E. Smokerise Drive, an officer responded to Walmart about a reported theft. Charges are pending.
Thursday, Jan. 3
11:20 a.m. — 222 E. Smokerise Drive, an officer responded to Walmart about a reported theft of PlayStation 3 controllers. Joseph Senz, 28, Rittman, was arrested on a theft charge and transported to the Medina County Jail.
12:18 p.m. — 100 block S. Lyman St., a resident reported the fraudulent use of her credit card in the amount of $59.85.
Friday, Jan. 4
11:50 a.m. — 130 S. Lyman St., an officer took a report regarding $107 stolen from an employee’s wallet at Peak Performance.
6:44 p.m. — 1090 Williams Reserve Blvd., an employee at GNC reported her wallet containing credit cards was stolen from her purse while at work. A suspect has been identified and the incident is being investigated.
Sunday, Jan. 6
2:35 a.m. — Silvercreek Road, an officer pulled over a black Jeep Wrangler he observed weaving on the road. Driver Steven T. Thayer, 18, 10225 Questa Court, was arrested on the charges of operating a vehicle while impaired and drug possession.
Monday, Jan. 7
12:57 p.m. — 130 E. Smokerise Drive, an employee at Marie’s Pizza reported the theft of a license plate from his car while at work.
5:10 p.m. — 200 block Silver Meadow Drive, an officer responded to a residence regarding a dog-bite complaint. The owner of the dog, Tracy L. Ocepek, 27, 318 Silver Meadow Drive, was cited for having a dog running at large.
Tuesday, Jan. 8
7:59 a.m. — 944 High St., a manager at Burger King reported the trash bins behind the eatery were damaged overnight. It is possible the damage was done by garbage collectors.
12:04 p.m. — 623 School Drive, a woman told an officer that medication and cash were taken from her purse, which was stored inside the trunk of her vehicle. The car was parked in the YMCA lot. An investigation is ongoing.
