MIDDLEBURG HTS. — Seven wrestlers brought home medals Saturday as Cloverleaf placed fourth at the Len Pariano Invitational at Midpark.
Led by three individual champs and a runner-up, Cloverleaf recorded 134 points to finish behind champion Stow (203½) in the 14-team field.
Freshman Greg Briggs (103 pounds), junior Marc Heidelman (132) and senior Mark Salamon (285) won their respective weight classes. Briggs and Heidelman won championships with efficient multiple-point victories, while Salamon won a 2-1 thriller over Clearview’s Deion Arnold for his first title of the season.
Anthony Kozma dropped a 5-3 heartbreaker to Matt Hollingsworth of Clearview for a second-place finish at 138 pounds, while older brother Austin Kozma was third at 182.
Teammates Kevin Chester (4th place, 170) and Ryan Pascal (5th, 145) rounded out the placers for the Colts.

BEDFORD — Six of the nine wrestlers placed as Medina finished seventh of nine teams. Danny Gannon and James Duke won the 106- and 285-pound weight classes, respectively, while Brandon Gandolf was runner-up at 113. Tyler Morgan (138 pounds) and Justin Hamer (145) were third, while Austin Peak (182) placed fourth. Kaleb Ewing (7th, 120), Zach Williams (8th, 160) and Danny Lind (8th, 220) rounded out the roster.

AKRON — The Blue Devils (11-0) picked up a pair of impressive dual-meet victories over the host Irish and Wildcats. No individual results were reported.
