Ken was a retired independent truck driver, having driven over 60 years. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. He enjoyed farming, roping, and riding horses with the Silver Star Riders. He also enjoyed square dancing and the morning coffee group.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; children, Harold Nix of Nashville, Tennessee, Dale (Nikki) Nix of California, Kimberly (Jason) Godfrey, Creston; and brother, Larry (Janet) Nix of Illinois; grandchildren, Robert, Michael Nix, Kelly Fierro, Clayton and Anabella Godfrey; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
Service will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 11:30 A.M., at the Armstrong Funeral Home, St. Rt. 3, in Seville. The family will greet friends Monday evening, January 21, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M., in the funeral home. Interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, with honors.
