Michael John Schubert

Michael John Schubert, 21, of Medina, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Sunday, January 20, 2013. He was born June 27, 1991, in Cleveland, to John and Kathleen (nee Gibson) Schubert.

Michael was a 2009 graduate of Medina High School, where he participated in Track and Field, Varsity Swim Team and played cello for the Symphony Orchestra. He was a student at Clarkson University, majoring in mechanical engineering. Michael was a member of the Clarkson University’s football team as the kicker and active in intramural sports. He will be forever missed by his loving parents; cherished sister, Kristin Schubert; grandparents, Franz and Sharon Schubert and Kathryn Gibson; and many family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence Gibson.

Friends and family may call Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road, from 3 until 8 P.M. A Memorial service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, January 24, 2013, at 11 A.M. He will be laid to rest privately at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
