Colts pocket a pair of swimming events

WOOSTER — The Cloverleaf swim teams defeated Tallmadge in a Suburban League action Tuesday.

Adam Goodreau, Brice Bechtel and Josh Butt lead the boys to an 86-80 victory.

Goodreau won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.01 and the 100 butterfly (57.17). Bechtel took first in the 200 individual medley (2:21.71) and set a school record of 1:04.54 in winning the 100 backstroke. Butt captured the 50 free (24.26) and 100 free (53.76).

Brian Easterling had the Colts’ other individual first in the 500 free (5:58.98).

Jacob Wolf joined Goodreau, Butt and Bechtel on the winning 200 free (1:41.43) and 400 free (3:44.19) relays.

Janelle Jordan stood out in the Cloverleaf girls 88-54 victory.

Jordan won the 50 free (27.95) and 100 free 1:00.37). She teamed with Mollie Easterling, Emma Shimko and Tessa Plazek to win the 200 free relay and joined Easterling, Plazek and Emily Chudzinski on the first-place 400 relay (4:29.77).

Plazek won the free (2:29.87) and Elizabeth Han the 200 IM (2:53.66).
