Blue Devils pocket big NOC bowling victory
BRUNSWICK — Four bowlers had 400 series Tuesday to lead the Brunswick boys team to a big 2,645-2,479 Northeast Ohio Conference victory over reigning league champ Cuyahoga Falls at Dick Hoover Lanes.
The Blue Devils (12-1) got a 440 from K.C. Kokitka, a 438 from Mitch Andzelik, a 416 from Zack Miller and a 401 from Eric Bator, while Justin Vetrovsky rolled one game and shot 243.
The Black Tigers, who got a 513 series from Trent Hoover, fell to 9-5.
Brunswick won the girls match 2,017-1,821 to improve to 6-5. Stacy Hillenbrand (328) and Sierra Schleich (327) led the way.
The Blue Devils junior varsity boys team improved to 13-0 with a 2,315-1,754 triumph. Jason Vandrasik (445) and Austin Hirsch (427) had the top series for Brunswick.

Buckeye
VERMILION — Zak Diaz had a 402 series and Brandon Butcher had an even 400 as the Buckeye boys downed Lorain 2,262-1,949 in North Shore Bowling Conference action at Lake Erie Lanes. The Bucks lost the girls match 1,797-1,388 despite a 288 series from Chrissy Nichols and a 277 from Hannah Burley. Kyle Butcher shot 364 for the Bucks junior varsity, which did not have an opponent.
Black River
GRAFTON — Black River fell 2,369-2,285 to Keystone in NSBC action at Grafton Lanes despite a career-high 441 series from Seryc Schmoll, who was 123 pins over average. The Black River girls fell 1,935-1,550, with Alexis Lange leading the Pirates with a 318 series.
