Brunswick continues to roll in basketball action

BRUNSWICK — Michigan volleyball recruit Gabrielle Bulic had 24 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and four blocks Thursday as Brunswick’s girls basketball team defeated Brecksville 53-45 in non-league action.

The Blue Devils (12-5), who have won eight straight, took control with an 8-0 run to go up 42-35 in the fourth quarter.

Courtney Laudato added four points and five assists for Brunswick, while Sarah Coronel’s 16 points led the Bees (7-9).

GRANGER TWP. — The Hornets (10-6, 5-4) outscored the Minutemen (9-6, 6-3) 16-7 over the final 3:38 and had a chance to tie with less than 30 seconds left, but came up short in this thrilling Suburban League game. Highland post Anna Rose Wiencek scored 11 of her team-high 17 points in the fourth quarter, while Haley Roddy added four points, seven rebounds and two assists.
