Leland B. Allmon, 72, of North Royalton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Thursday, January 24, 2013. He was born August 2, 1940, to the late Flaves and Minnie (nee Gillen) Allmon in Rhodell, West Virginia.
Leland proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church. Leland loved to build and remodel homes. He was the President of Cosmopolitan Homes for 15 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth (nee Davis); loving daughters, Carla Allmon-Ponikvar, Vivian Allmon-Pare and Virginia Allmon; treasured grandchildren, Leah, Corrin, Jeremiah and Ben Pare, Brent and Tyler Ponikvar; brothers, Theron, Gary and Larry Allmon; and sisters, Vivian Linkous, Malnita Edwards and Freda Woods.
Leland is preceded in death by his brothers, Donald, Flaves Jr. and Robert Allmon.
Family will receive friends Monday, January 28, 2013, at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. Service will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013, 10 A.M., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley.
