“They are safe and unharmed. Their families have been notified,” Medina police Chief Patrick Berarducci said.

Jessica Kollar and Maxwell Leibsia were taken into custody Saturday by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office officers, the chief said.

Both face charges in Florida and Medina County.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Leibsla on the charge of interference with custody, a first-degree misdemeanor that becomes a fifth-degree felony if the child is removed from the state, according to Medina Municipal Court records.

Kollar was last seen by her family on Jan. 24. The girl had contacted friends saying she is OK, but she refused to say where she is.

Berarducci said the couple were tracked by Medina police detectives Amy Kerr and Mary Gross to Akron; Miami, Fla.; and Lake Worth, in Palm Beach County, Fla.

So, if you live in Medina and are in your twenties and have a thing for High School Freshman girls, you take take one to Florida and you only have to worry about being charge with a misdemeanor. How about a kidnapping and statutory rape charges.
